Position Overview - Cross Country Coach
Season: August - September
Pay: Stipend offered commensurate with experience and length of season
The Cross Country Coach leads and develops a competitive and character-driven running program. Responsibilities include designing training plans, coaching proper running technique, preparing athletes for meets, and promoting endurance, perseverance, and goal-setting. The coach will encourage a positive team culture and support the holistic development of each student-athlete. The Cross Country season will consist of 4-6 meets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop athletes holistically (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual).
- Create structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Promote a positive and encouraging team culture.
- Model integrity, humility, and respect.
- Communicate with parents about game schedule, practices, and logistics.
- Dispense and collect team uniforms.
- Ensure arrival and dismissal protocols are followed.
