Position Overview - Cheer Coach
Season: October - February
Pay: Stipend offered commensurate with experience and length of season
The Cheer Coach leads the cheer program by teaching routines, chants, and stunts while promoting school spirit and unity. Responsibilities include coordinating practices, ensuring safety in all activities, and developing teamwork and confidence among participants. The coach models leadership and enthusiasm while supporting athletic events and the broader school community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop athletes holistically (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual).
- Create structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Promote a positive and encouraging team culture.
- Model integrity, humility, and respect.
- Communicate with parents about game schedule, practices, and logistics.
- Dispense and collect team uniforms.
- Ensure arrival and dismissal protocols are followed.
