Position Overview - Paideia Instructor
King's Academy seeks Paideia instructors for the 2025-2026 school year. Paideia is King's Academy's enrichment program. In the 2025-2026 school year, we offered music, athletics, art, theater, spanish, latin, gardening, library, and life groups. This is a part-time position. We seek talented individuals who are committed to pursuing educational excellence within a school community that seeks to reflect the light of Christ while displaying the beautiful diversity of God's Kingdom.
Primary Responsibilities
- Consistently teach with intentionality and clarity within a classroom culture that is joyful, respectful, and based on Biblical principles.
- Carefully monitor student progress and make necessary instructional adjustments.
- Mentor students with a loving and nurturing heart while fostering their love for learning.
- Support and exemplify our three core values: diversity, humility, and unity.
Qualifications
At minimum, a qualified candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong affinity with the compelling vision of King's Academy.
- A love of children and love of learning.
- Commitment to advancing student learning.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be a team player exhibiting flexibility.
- Active involvement in the life of a local church.
- Successful attainment of a bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in the discipline that they will be teaching.
In addition, an ideal candidate will have:
- At least three years teaching experience in a school or other youth organization in their field of expertise.
- Previous cross-cultural experience.
